Organ Donation Training

Organ Donation Training was coordinated to create a team of 8 people to give presentation to high school and college students about the importance of Organ/Tissue Donation. We collaborated with LifeShare to train us in giving presentations to schools. LifeShare is a San Diego based organ donation organization that coordinates with many hospitals around the area in order to find recipients for transplants. In the Fall Quarter, our main focus was to create a team of 8 UCSD Skaggs Pharmacy Students. Our target population are high school and college students. This event was a success and we have a full team. Our next goal is to observe how an actual presentation will be presented and to incorporate pharmacy and it's role in organ donation.
